Early reflection
This article is an early reflection following Atlas Camp Bengaluru. It will evolve as further experience and conversations accumulate โ not a final assessment.
Ecosystem thinking over single-product focus
A recurring theme: enterprise software lives in ecosystems โ integrations, partners, APIs, shared standards. Single-product optimisation is rarely enough.
For programme and transformation work this means: roadmaps must surface dependencies between teams and partners, not only feature lists.
Developer experience is delivery speed
Poor developer experience slows programmes โ not only engineering. Onboarding, documentation, API consistency, and internal tools are programme topics.
A question I am taking away: where do we invest in DX before scaling new integrations?
Platform strategy and API ecosystems
Platforms win when they are predictable for partners and internal teams โ versioning, governance, clear contracts.
This parallels patterns from integration programmes: explicit interfaces reduce friction. Whether a Jira/Confluence ecosystem or AI tooling โ the principle holds.
Enterprise collaboration across team boundaries
Large organisations rarely fail for lack of technology. They fail on coordination โ product, engineering, operations, partners.
Atlas Camp confirmed for me: collaboration tools are only as good as the processes and ownership behind them.
